Connected Membership is for women who want to learn to make and eventually earn from their craft. You do not need to be experienced. You do not need your own loom. You need curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a desire to be part of a community of women who are serious about where this practice can take them.

When you join as a Connected Member, CWA matches you to your nearest Gathering Circle — a local weaving group affiliated with CWA where you can learn, practise, and build the skills that will eventually sustain your creative practice commercially. You also get access to CWA’s online workshop library and member discounts on the tools and materials you need to get started.

Six months free. Then $10 per month or $120 per year — your choice.

The pathway to Practitioner

Connected Membership is the beginning of the journey, not the destination. At six months, CWA will invite you to begin your Provenance Registration — the process that gives you a Unique Practitioner Identifier, a listing in the Southern Cross Registry, and access to the Southern Cross Marketplace where you can sell your work to buyers across Australia.

Some women will be ready at six months. Some will take longer. CWA does not pressure — it makes the pathway clear and the transition simple when you are ready.
